    my reservation was honored with no problem. i pd exactly what i was quoted.the unit turned out to be to small, i was upgraded immed. to a bigger unit(10x20). i was treated with humor and respect. loved it! i wasn't pd to say this either..

    Bad Business

    I went to facility and the lady said this size would not be available until monday. or hasnt been built yet. Something like that. Anyway I gave her a copy of this reservation and where it said $60.00 , well she would not honor that price. I did rent at this facility because of convienence but am very upset that she would not honor my reservation price. She did give me a discount but not anywhere close to what I was reserved for.

    In this particular case, the particular storage size that the tenant was requesting is irregular (a large size that can be created by removing one corrugated storage metal piece between two storage rooms, it is about a 30 minute process). In order to rent this particular unit to the tenant, the storage facility needed to have the maintenance employee come in to remove the wall. Until that could be completed, we offered the tenant a 10x20 space at half off for 6 months which is an excellent discount. The tenant mentioned to us that more space was probably not needed (size 10x20 would be sufficient) but that she would definitely come in if she needed more space. In this case, we apologize that we did not have the irregular size storage space available immediately for rent. There were similar unit sizes available and on this occasion, the tenant seemed to be satisfied upon leaving. We hope that as the tenant continues to rent at A Lotta Storage, we can offer excellent customer service to ensure that her storage stay has been positive and worthwhile.

    HORRIBLE!!!!

    The office manager Debbie at this location is far from professional. My mother was renting a storage unit from them, when she was getting ready to close out her storage unit because she was moving into her new place she didn't have any use for her washer and dryer. I her daughter had just bought a set that I couldn't use she offered me hers in her unit. The office manager Debbie agreed to buy the extra set of them for $100.00. So, we allowed her to take possession of the washer and dryer and when my mom when in a few days later to close out her contract for the unit, Debbie tried to play stupid. She said that she thought that we were giving the washer and dryer to them for free because she was giving to a family in need. If I was offered anything for free I would repeatedly be thanking that person for their kindness. She had not shown any signs of thankfulness. After having to contact their corporate offices, the keep saying that they needed to speak with my mother because the contract for the unit was with her. What does my stolen property have to do with my moms unit? NOTHING!!! The best they did was get the washer and dryer back to the storage faculty in San Jacinto. I don't have a truck, nor the money to rent a u-haul to get my stolen property back. So I am now having to get the police involved to attempt to get my stolen property back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from this location and from Alotta storages corporate office as well. I advise anyone to avoid renting units from them. They seem to make things harder then they need to be, and have difficulties bending to their strict and unnecessary rules.

    On behalf of A Lotta Storage, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience that was caused to the tenant and her daughter. In this situation, there was a miscommunication between the storage manager and the tenant. The storage manager thought that the tenant wanted to dispose of the washer and dryer. This being the case, the storage manager offered to hold the items and then proceed to deliver them to a non-profit organization which could take the washer/dryer combo to a needy family. After further review, it was apparent that the tenant wanted $75 or $100 for the items. At that point, the storage manager immediately offered to give the items back to the original tenant. During the midst of this transition, the tenant's daughter became involved and was requesting the items on behalf of the mother. Because the mother was the leaseholder, in order to protect the leaseholder, the storage facility was obligated to only follow the direction that it received from the mother. After leaving messages for the original tenant (the mother) but receiving no response back, the storage facility was unable to adhere to the desired demands of the daughter as authorization from the leaseholder was needed. At this current time, the washer and dryer are still at the storage facility and the tenant is welcome to come pick them up at anytime! In the future, though the storage facility was acting in good faith, both to help the tenant dispose of her seemingly unwanted items as well as to help donate them to a non-profit organization, the storage facility will not act as a liaison for tenants in this manner because complications such as the described case can arise.

    Horrible customer service, incompetent

    This store takes in packages to ship to PO box numbers when according to the UPS terms and Conditions #13 of page 14 they can't. They refuse to addmit this and refund the cost of an undelivered package. The site manager Debbie refuses to take responsibility for this error even after being told this. Clearly an unprofessional business.

    In this situation, the storage facility was unaware that the customer's shipment to the PO Box could not be processed (as items have been shipped from this location to PO Boxes in the past without any problems). In this particular case, it did not arrive at the desired destination for this, we apologize. The package did arrive at a substation 17 miles away from the desired destination as is apparently the protocol for UPS. This being the case, the package was not picked up by the customer (as it was 17 miles away) and was eventually re-routed back at the storage facility a number of days later. The storage facility did later offer to refund the money to the original customer. Upon this offer, the customer came into the office, picked up the package, and received the refund. Because the storage facility is not primarily a shipping center (not the primary line of business), there is a possibility that mistakes can be made on our end. We are continually learning to help avoid any and all mistakes for the future.
